#2, THERE ARE DEADLINES ACCORDING TO WHEN YOU’LL BE STUDYING ABROAD, MAKE SURE TO KNOW THESE DEADLINES AND SUBMIT EVERYTHING AHEAD OF TIME!!!! (P.S: I didn’t say on time, ahead* of time)
#3, don’t forget the requirements:
- U.S undergraduate student
- Federal Pell Grant Recipient
- Already accepted into the study abroad program
- Program must be at least 28 days and no more than a full academic year
- Country you’re studying in must not be on the U.S Travel Warning List.
#4, make sure the information you provide in your application are correct and accurate—if you’re unsure about anything, ask your SA advisor before submitting it. *THERE ARE ALSO WEBINARS/OTHER RESOURCES ON THE WEBSITE THAT HELP WITH FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION*
#5, I’ll upload my Statement of Purpose and Follow-Up on Service essays to give anyone who needs help an idea of what the Gilman Program might be looking for since I received the scholarship. PLEASE DO NOT COPY MY ESSAY. That will not help you in any way. I’m sure the judging panels notice everything.
